Campus Description

GENERAL DESCRIPTION

The ever-expanding campus of the School of the Prophets is situated on just over ninety acres of land interspersed with buildings, lawns, fields, a river, and woods. Located just a few miles outside of the town of Rocky Mount, VA, the campus gives the privacy of living in the country while still being within a convenient distance from the town.

ADMINISTRATION BUILDING

The Administration building is a dual use facility, and the main hub for student activity. The first floor of the building, adorned with a beautiful stone fireplace and water fountain, houses the students dining hall. The second floor of the Administration building houses staff offices including the President's office, Deans’ offices, and Student Services office. Special student activity rooms such as the computer lab and student council workroom are also located in the second floor of the Administration building.

SANCTUARY BUILDING

The Sanctuary building houses the student classrooms and acts as the chapel for the daily services that students attend. It is also the home of Blue Ridge Gospel Tabernacle, the local church that is the main support and foundation of the Bible college. This building is used frequently for church services, student activities, weddings, and the annual Graduation ceremonies in the spring.

SOPHIA MINOR MEN'S DORMITORY

The Sophia Minor men’s dorm is a three-story brick structure that is designed to accommodate up to ninety-six students. Each room is spacious with beds, bureaus, and sufficient closet space. Also each room has its own bathroom and air conditioning and heating units. The grounds provide ample space for student parking.

MARY CRANDALL WOMEN'S DORMITORY

The Mary Crandall women's dormitory is the newest building on campus. This building is similar in design to the Sophia Minor men's dormitory and is also able to house ninety-six students. Each room is spacious with beds, bureaus, and sufficient closet space. Each room has its own bathroom and air conditioning and heating units. The building has ample parking space for students and is only a short walk from the Administration building.

THE WHITE HOUSE

The “White House” is the oldest building on campus. Originally the home of the school's founder, it is where the vision was birthed. Today it is used as on-campus living quarters for members of faculty and staff.

MULTI-PURPOSE TENNIS COURT

On campus we provide a multi-purpose lighted tennis court. It is used frequently by students for sports activities including: tennis, volleyball, basketball, and a local game called ‘melon ball’.
