Our Mission
Blue Ridge Bible College is a Christian college founded to serve a two-fold purpose: to prepare our students for Christian ministry and provide a quality biblical education. We provide biblical education that focuses on biblical knowledge, spiritual development, and practical ministry skills to become servant leaders in the church and community. We provide practical ministry training, from experienced ministers and real-life application through hands-on student involvement in all of our chapels, church services, and mission trips. Our mission is to help men and women prepare for ministry and earn their degree.
SLOGAN:
“Prepare for ministry and earn your degree!”
VISION:
The vision of Blue Ridge Bible College is to be a strategic partner with the local church and community in developing spiritually gifted and academically prepared students.
NAME:
The name of our institution is Blue Ridge Bible College. Our name is inspired by the Blue Ridge Mountain Region of southwest Virginia, where the college is located. Our campus is located at the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountain Range, and has a stunning panoramic view of the historic Blue Ridge Parkway. We use the word college to signify that we are, “an institution of higher learning” (Webster’s Dictionary). As a Bible college, the focus of our college’s curriculum is biblical education that equips students with a robust knowledge of Scripture and how to apply Scripture to life and ministry. The informal moniker “School of the Prophets” is often used in conjunction with our college name. This was the former name of the college when it was founded, and it is used ceremonially to honor the history of the school and to inspire students to be bold preachers and messengers for God.
